Plegofield is an invention by the School Of Robotics. Its intention is to allow the creation of playing fields easily, with unlimited possibilities and never obsolete. Plegofield comprises of A basic pieces namely the square pieces, barrier pieces, long pieces and tiny pieces. These have interlocking holes and studs and can be assembled into larger pieces to form a playing field for small robots.

Square pieces (16x16cm) = 100
Barrier pieces = 80
Long pieces = 100
Tiny pieces = 80
The advantages of Plegofield are numerous however, I shall list only a few here:
Unlimited playing field designs.. Plegofield is Lego-like and can be assembled into new playing fields and designs. You can construct barriers for maze, steps, ramp, see-saw bridge, tracks and more. More ingenious methods can deployed such as by turning over the square pieces and filling the cavity with beans or small pebbles or sand to create a unique to increase the challenge on robot maneuverability.
Enjoyable, Creative. When introduced to children, they indeed spent hours enjoying themselves creating new playing fields. In fact, creating the playing fields is by itself quite enjoyable and develops their creativity. They are also more enthusiastic to program their robots to run on their very own newly created Plegofield.
Sharpens Problem Solving Skills. You can build walls to create maze that a robot must negotiate, steps for higher skills climbing robots and tilting ram of varying slopes for fresh challenges. By adding pebbles or green beans, you can add textures to the floor and see the robots being stuck there! Cruel? This can spark off the students into thinking of new robot designs to overcome problems just like the real world, which is never smooth.

Reusable. Save the environment by reducing wastage and reusing the same Plegofield. A fixed playing field when damages or absolute after a competition are diposed off and this is wasteful. It is also very costly to construct a fixed playing field. Plegofield can bere-assembled into new playing fields with new designs and challenges. It saves the environment because it can be reused again and again. It is never absolute.
Stretches Thinking Cap. You can add Lego pieces to enhance the Plegofield and create bizarre obstacles. This will further stretch the students’ thinking cap.
Easily transportable. A fixed playing field may require a lorry to transport. Plegofield weighs only 15kg and it can be packed into a car boot and even transported by public buses in 2 luggage bags. It can be re-assembled at the competition site in an hour with 1 man.
Unlimited Sizes. More than one set of Plegofield can be used to form a bigger playing field. One set can form a playing field of 1.6m * 1.6m or an equivalent area in a rectangular or add shaped playing field.
Solves Your Storage Woes .   Plegofield is Lego-like and can be re-assembled into new playing fields of any pattern and design.   When not in use, they can be dis-assembled and packed into boxes with a total volume of 34cm*34cm*70cm. Weighing at only 15kg, it can be stored on any shelf.   It is never obsolete.

Durable, No Maintenance Cost .   Unlike fixed playing field that can be damaged, when a piece of Plegofield is damaged, another piece can be used and no repair is required.   Furthermore, Plegofield is made of ABS plastic, which is the same type of high quality plastic used by Lego, and it is very durable.
